2008 - 2009 Scholarship Information

Who May Apply:

Any student at an institution that has an Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter and who has achieved the follow criteria:

  • Completed 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of graded coursework at their institution (Not including transfer credits)
  • Achieved an overall grade point average of at least 3.4 (Triangle Club: Second Century Scholarships) or 3.2 (General Foundation Scholarships) on a scale with 4.0 as the highest grade at their institution
  • Is 24 yrs of age or older
  • Is enrolled in a baccalaureate or associates degree program at the matriculating institution
  • Has a financial need for assistance in completing the degree
  • Student does not have to be a member of the local Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter to apply

Student applicants do not have to be members of the local Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter to apply.

Number of Awards to Be Given:

  • Two Triangle Club: Second Century Scholarship in the amount of $1500.00 (available only to applicants from Triangle Club: Second Century chapter institutions.)
  • Five additional $1200.00 scholarships and one $1500 scholarship open to students from any chapter institution.
  • Applications from the Triangle Club: Second Century Chapters must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2008. (Click here for a list of Triangle Club: Second Century Chapters)
  • Applications from all other chapters must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2008.
