Cornelius J. Baker III

C.J. Baker is a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, a full-time college student with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, commercial pilot, and Civil Air Patrol, volunteer. Over his 21-year career in the Air Force, he held many roles, including Target Intelligence Specialist, Operations Intelligence Specialist, and held supervisory and managerial roles across multiple intelligence fields. He completed an Associate of Applied Science with the Community College of the Air Force in Communications Applications Technology in 2007.

He is currently working to obtain a certified flight instructor rating with the Federal Aviation Administration, which will enable him to teach new pilots the knowledge, skills, and abilities to earn their wings. At Embry-Riddle, he has secured a 3.958-grade point average and has been awarded the Deans List honor nine times consecutively.  Additionally, he volunteers with the Civil Air Patrol to teach leadership skills and provide orientation flights to young cadets with a similar passion for aviation.

C.J. near-term goals are to graduate from Embry-Riddle with the summa cum laude accolade and earn a flight instructor rating. His long-term goals are to earn a multi-engine rating, gain the required experience and flight-hours to fly for an airline and continue with Civil Air Patrol to inspire and encourage the next generation of aviators.
